Local businesses are coming together in order to give back to the community. Mt. Hood Cigars and Mt. Moka are both raising donations for separate causes.
Local coffee shop Mountain Moka is helping give back to the community. For the third year in a row they are collecting blankets to donate to Randall Children’s Hospital so a child can have at least a little bit of comfort during the holidays.
“We feel it’s more important this year because of COVID-19 some families are struggling and we hope it helps bring comfort to the children,” Mt. Moka owner Tina Hovey said.
They will be accepting new and homemade blankets till Dec. 21.
Mt. Hood Cigars is collecting new or slightly used warm winter clothing. Hats, scarves, gloves, and warm winter jackets. All of these items are in high need for the homeless population and many other people throughout Sandy.
Local Sandy businesses are finding ways to give back to the community and help make the holiday season enjoyable for everyone.
